The injury in the ruling on comparison between the companions, may God be pleased with them
Abstract
The research studies an important and hot issue in the Islamic arena, which is the issue of comparison between the Companions, may God be pleased with them. It discussed two branches of this issue: the permissibility of comparison between them or not, and whether it is a matter of belief and certainty or a matter of ijtihad and conjecture. In researching these issues, I followed the method of induction of the scholars’ statements, collecting their evidence, and analyzing their texts. The research aimed to clarify the statement of the Sunnis on these two issues, with a statement of the evidence they relied on in that. The results of the research were multiple, the most important of which were: the legitimacy of comparison between the Companions, may God be pleased with them, and clarifying that the issue is one of the issues of belief and faith among the Sunnis and not one of the issues of ijtihad in which disagreement is permissible.
