Abstract

Surah Al-Humazah is unanimously considered a Meccan surah. This surah contains a severe warning for those characterized by these two traits (slander and backbiting), as well as for those who amass wealth and count it without regard for its source, mistakenly believing that this wealth will grant them immortality. Allah also mentions in it some details of their punishment, such as a fire that will not only burn them but will consume their skin, veins, flesh, and bones until it breaks them, reaching their hearts. Then they will be given new skins to taste the torment. May Allah protect us from it
