يتمتع المبعوث الدبلوماسي بعدة مميزات تساهم في أداء عمله على أكمل وجه، وأحد تلك المميزات الحصانة القضائية .
وترتكز هذه الدراسة على تبيان وظيفة المبعوث الدبلوماسي وأهم المميزات التي تمنح له، والوظائف المنوطة بحقه، ومدى أهمية منحه ميزة الحصانة القضائية وما الأثر المترتب في حال تجاوزه لحدود تلك الحصانة؛ وهذا ما أكدته عدة اتفاقيات دولية منها اتفاقية فيينا للعلاقات الدولية لعام 1961م.
