Controls of uncertainty in absentee sales

This research examines the controls of gharar (uncertainty) in selling absentee items. It reviews a set of basic concepts related to selling and gharar, in addition to the legal rulings in the Quran and Sunnah. It also sheds light on the texts that prohibit dealing with gharar, its types and forms, and details its categories and the differences among jurists regarding the prohibition of some of them. It also explains the concept of selling absentee items, its types and applications, and how gharar can be avoided. We conclude with some recommendations and findings from the research.
