The right to privacy in the digital age
Abstract
The digital age represents the largest liberation movement the world has ever known. Our private lives in this era face many risks, the most important of which is the problem of user privacy in the digital world and illegal access to his data. The right to privacy is one of the most important basic rights granted to humans. As it is mainly related to human dignity and respect, which has been surrounded by legal protection through the enactment of many laws and regulations at various levels. From this standpoint, this study aims to understand what is meant by information privacy, the risks it faces, the legal protection that must be provided, and to ensure respect for the right to private life. And the extent of the need for national legislative intervention by issuing a penal law that punishes infringement on information privacy and guarantees the right of individuals to the sanctity of their private lives.
